Home Games Card Strategy Tivitti

Tivitti is a traditional game of cards Sicilian

Tivitti is a widespread card game in Sicily and in Calabria through a deck of 40 uniforms in 4 seeds (cups, money, sticks, swords) of 10 cards each and played by 2 or more people.

The cards are divided to each player based on the number of these, and must be arranged on the table, covered.

Each player in the respective turn can turn one card at a time: if this is a 1, you have it at the center of the table that starts a "pile" (you get to the king, or 10) of each seed and you can turn another card; If this card cannot be positioned on the "pile" but it is still superior or lower than a unit to the opponent paper on the table, it can be put on this card, such as to increase by a unit the number of papers of the opponent forming a "pile" also on the opponent's deck, and continue to turn the cards; If, on the other hand, our card is not positionable neither on the "pile" of the seeds nor on that of the opposing deck, you put it to be discovered on our deck and the hand passes to the opponent.

The purpose of the game is to exhaust your deck. If you have a card to be placed on the "pile" or on the opponent's deck and you do not do it (out of forgetfulness or by choice), the opponent makes him point out by saying Tivitti : at that point you have to go back ". The player who ends his deck or who remains "wrapped" with the last card first.
